Double chocolate cookies recipe

This cookie recipe is delicious and loaded with chocolate. They are great to take to parties and for treats around Christmas Time and other holidays for your friends and family

These are the ingredients that you will need:

1/3 cups pecan halves

1/3 cups walnuts

1 1/3 ounces baking chocolate

4 ounces Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels

1 ounces butter

1 ounces margarine

1 ½ teaspoons instant coffee powder

1 1/3 eggs

½ cups sugar

1 cups flour

1/6 teaspoons baking powder

1/12 teaspoons salt

2 ounces chocolate candy bars

2 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place baking chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips, butter, margarine and instant coffee powder in the top of a double boiler. Place over simmering (not boiling) water until chocolate is almost all melted.

Meanwhile, beat eggs, gradually adding sugar, beating until thick. When the chocolate is almost melted, remove from the heat, and stir until completely melted and smooth. Gradually whisk the chocolate into the egg mixture.

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt directly into the chocolate mixture. Gently stir until the dry ingredients are just mixed.

Cut the chocolate candy bar into ½" chunks and stir into the dough along with the toasted nuts.

Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets, about 2" apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cookies will still be very soft. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before removing from the pans.

Swirl melted semi-sweet baking chocolate onto the cookies.
